Description
A pressure vessel does not usually fail through the plate. It fails at a weld, or in the narrow band of metal beside it that nobody welded but the welding changed anyway.
API 577 is the recommended practice that explains why. It is a source document for the API 510, 570 and 653 examinations, and it is the reference an inspector reaches for when a welding procedure lands on the desk and something about it does not look right.
This course teaches it as working knowledge, not as a document to skim.
WHAT YOU WILL MASTER
Five sections cover welding metallurgy fundamentals, processes and consumables, procedure and performance qualification, weld defects and examination, and special service through repair and quality control.
