The process of how change works is pretty simple. This Course demystifies the change process in an easy to understand way so that you are more likely to successfully reach your goals.
In this course you'll learn about the Transtheoretical Model developed by James Prochaska & Carlo DiClemente. This model explores each of the stages: Pre-Contemplation, Contemplation, Preparation, Action, Maintenance & Termination. Knowing what to expect in each stage of the change process will help you be able to anticipate challenges and obstacles specific to your goal as they come.
Not sure which goal you want to work on first? I'll introduce you to the Wheel of Life to determine which area of your life is most important to you to work on right now. You'll name a specific goal and then you'll work through all the reasons why the goal is important to you and you'll make a firm decision to do it. You'll have time to get things ready to pursue your goal, and then finally you'll start to take action.
Watch all of the lessons early on as you set your goal and prepare to make change. Then revisit the lessons as you move through each stage of change to refresh your memory of each stage. I've provided worksheets to help you process each stage.
You can take this course as many times as you would like for each new goal. I'm a firm believer that we should always be striving to learn and grow and become better versions of ourselves.
